Beijing dining hotspots for China’s annivesary celebration

After spending several months perfecting their Beijing outlet, The Meat and Wine Company will celebrate its grand opening this evening, though I suspect that the attentive service and quality food that The Meat and Wine Company is known for is the same regardless of the opening status. Combined with the great weather expected for this weekend, now is one of the last chances to enjoy a top notch meal on a Ch’ien Men 23 patio before the weather and China’s anniversary celebration plans become prohibitive. Ignace Lecleir of Maison Boulud confirmed that the restaurant has been forced to close from September 30th to October 3rd and will reopen for regular business starting October 4th. He stresses that MB will maintain close contact with all guests making reservation on the surrounding days in case of any changes in operation hours. Conversely, Agua, in order to avoid “a sense of disruption to our guests” will not announcing any possible closures. Ch’ien Men has been forced to close on several other occasions during anniversary parade rehearsals.

Other areas affected by the upcoming national holiday include the Qianmen newcomer, Capital M, which will close its doors from the 28th of Sept until the 4th of Oct. Worker’s Stadium venues like Kro’s Nest and Stadium Dog have already boarded up the windows and will not be reopening for service until after the national holiday.
