Bomb defused in front of U.S. embassy in Nepal

KATHMANDU, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) — Nepali security personnel defused a pressure cooker bomb in front of the U.S. Embassy at Maharajung in Kathmandu on Wednesday, local media reported.
A bomb disposal squad of the Armed Police Force was brought in when a suspicious object was found in front of the U.S. Embassy. Security personnel had blanketed the area for a short while.
Local news website eKantipur quoted Maharajgunj Police Office Chief Sadar Kumar Khatri as saying that the security personnel recovered a “less powerful pressure cooker bomb” and pamphlets of Krantikari Janabadi Morhca (Revolutionary Democratic Front), a rarely known organization, from the site.
